Duels with contact: Making an opportunity for a shot on goal against an opponent, staying in position, getting in position, jumping duels, headers, holdings, pushes, clashes, sliding tackles, blocking shots, balancing, dinamic following technics, turnings, feet and hand use by duels, fallings from duels


Coordination:
- Dinamic, static balance: theorical knowledge, individual and paired exercises, duel exercises, using tools and exercises without tools

Technical abilities:
- duel technics: knowledge from the basic training, analysing every kind of duel on a soccer field, analysing situations
- preventive technics: soccer specific clashes, falls, jumps, pushes, holdings, slides, analysing situations, technics for all the elements, practicing on field.
In soccer, the negative or positive result of the duels determine the efficiency of the team. In this game there are very intense matches with fast moves, lot of duels and hard clashes. The player, who goes to the arena must give his or her 100%. The exercises of AJT must develop these skills, and the training load must be in balance with this. Our trainings are builded up from high intensity exercises for short times – we made up our program focusing on these factors.
Mental development
Fast decisions, early recognition is important, so it is in judo too. One must have a well-trained fighting spirit to stand the duels one after the other. So we can see, that we have very important mental areas, that need to be developed to be successful in duels – feeling fear in the duels is a big disadvantage, unlike the self-confident, assertive appearance, what gives basis to win the duel situations. Deciding rightiIn the moment of physical contact leads to solve the situation so our aim can be achieved, and AJT develops these skills with the exercises giving mental and physical development in the same time.
Power of will and endurance in mind needs to be developed too. The paired and group fighting exercises are very good for this, and help to evolve a humble and respectful person.
Maybe the most important thing is the great knowledge and experience in duels. The duel exercises themselfes make the players self-confident, what is a great advantage in the arena as in duels so in every aspect of the game.
Duel and prevention
We created our program to train the players for the duels occur specially in soccer. After the general training the sport specific exercises aim situations what occur during handball game, and in what the duel-knowledge is highly important. So the players learn every aspect of the clashes, like the right moving the center of one’s gravity, the right directions of the forces and the possibilities of moving the opponent player. Grips, getting advantage using our hands or using the right grip on the opponent is very important, so we focus on this field too. During positioning exercises players are getting trained in an element of the game what is happening lot of times in handball, so they will have a trained technical skill to every duel-linked element of the game.
By prevention it is highly important that we need to teach the players for the balancing technics, they need well-trained kinestetic sense, need to know well the falling technics and need to be able to be in game again as fast as possible.
Conditional training
Most of the exercises themself have high conditional function too – so the power of those muscles develop what are important in duels and prevention. These are the core muscles, back and arm functional muscles, the huge muscles in the legs and the small balancing muscles, like in the ankle.
Of course the main goal is to train these muscles for high intensity, fast movements, forces – as the soccer profile needs it.
AJT can be builded into the strenght training of the team – it is optimalized to be held weekly, in 45 minutes. Our experience is that AJT can be taught like this with the best efficiency.
Trainings can be held on the sport field with puzzle tatamis, but if the club has a dojo where tatami is on the ground, the program can be held there too.
Speaking about age groups we think that the sooner the players get to know our technics, the better their efficiency is. The well-fixed movement patterns can be formed much harder, so the later the player starts to learn the good technics, the harder it is for him or her.
Trainings are leaded by a certificated AJT coach. Our coaches have competition experience in judo, they fighted against the best judokas in their countries. They have judo coach certification and they finished de AJT coach training – we only employ competent, experienced coaches, who always want to give the best for every player.
We think that the optimal training team must consist maximum 15 players, because correcting the mistakes – in duel and prevention exercises – is highly important. The more direction the coach must focus on, the worse the efficiency is.
Before starting a training session it is good, if the team sends us a present record of a match. We analyse it so we can make the trainings more special for the given team.

Method: In soccer the positive or negative result of a duel determine the result of the matches and the teams efficiency. The high intensity and speed claim 110% performance from the players. The exercises of AJT must develop these skills, and the intervals of the trainings must be planned this way, so it must be constructed by short and intense exercises.
